Do you remember the automatic sponsorship I told you about at the beginning?
Now Mrs. __________, there’s one more very important part.
Here’s where you can really help me out.
I get paid every time I show Cutco, and I can only call people who I have been personally recommended to.
So, what I need you to do, before we wrap up, is to pull out your cell phone and let’s jot down 100-200 people who might be nice enough to help me out - just kidding, 10-20 would be perfect! :-)
I’m not necessarily looking for people who would buy, just nice people like you to take a look.
The way the automatic sponsorship works is: For every 50 sponsors I get, the company gives me $150 in free Cutco which I can use to add samples for my presentations. All you have to do to become a sponsor is just get to the first level of 5. If you get to 10 you become a double sponsor and count twice....
My Cutco Rep App
Actually the app you downloaded is designed to be a huge time saver for the both of us!
It allows you to send me introductions straight through the app so anyone you recommend me to automatically syncs with my phone...that way you don't need to take the time to type them all out in an email.
On the bottom of the screen you'll click the "share" button, then hit "Okay to Share Contacts", then it lets you select the 100-200 people you wanted to refer me to :-)
Check off as many as you can and just let me know when you're finished before you click the share button at the bottom. Take as much time as you need on this because it's the most important part!
Again, thank you so much!
Without App
I have a pen and paper, let’s put down as many as you can.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help.”
"I’ll email them to you later":
Although most customers mean well, it is extremely unlikely that they will send you referrals later because they're busy.
That would be awesome! I appreciate you wanting to help me. However, I know you're really busy and I’d hate to call you while you’re with family or at work. And, without referrals, I actually can’t do any more presentations. As a reminder, your referrals don’t have to buy anything—I promise! So, could we just start with 1-2 people right now? It would really help me out.
"I don’t know that many people":
That's totally fine! Because I get paid just to show Cutco, even a few referrals really helps me. So, let’s just start with a couple now. We can always come up with more later! How about your __________ (use thought joggers).
"I don’t like to give out people’s names":
I don’t blame you! If it were anybody other than me, I would be hesitant, too. But, I promise it's just me! So... (ask again).
"Let me call them first and get back to you":
Of course! Go ahead and jot down their names and numbers. I will follow up with you tomorrow, and you can let me know who I can call and who I should cross off the list.
Or: Perfect! Could we call a couple of them now and see what they say before I leave?
STEP 1:
Get more recommendations. Ask your customer the following: who do you know who...
Loves to cook?
Already owns CUTCO?
Loves to bake?
Loves to garden?
Owns a second home?
Lives out-of-state, but would love CUTCO?
Loves to entertain?
Is the most successful person you know?
Is the MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON you know?
Could get everything on the Cutco website if they wanted to?
*My passion is _________________. Who do you know that is involved with ____________ (your passion), as well?
*I would love to do CUTCO demos in _____________ (neighborhood), who do you know that lives in that area?
*I go to college at ___________ (school), who do you know who went there, as well?
STEP 2:
Learn about your recommendations.
Who of these people is home during the day? Put a “D” next to their name
How do you know __________ (the referral). Are they a friend, neighbor, or relative?
What town do they live in?
What is their spouse’s name?
Should I see them with or without their spouse?
If you were in my shoes, who would you see first, second, and third?
Can you think of just ONE more person please?
Hey! Hope you’re well :) Just wanted to give you a heads up that I just saw a Cutco presentation from ____________, who is (make connection). He/she/they is/are working with Cutco to build his/her/their resume and gain some leadership experience. You came to mind because I liked it and I thought you’d like it too. ______ gets credit just to show it so there is no pressure to buy anything. He’ll be reaching out to you soon!
